Professional Experience

Cyril Hollingsworth is a mediator, arbitrator and experienced trial lawyer with a primary focus in the fields of construction law and business litigation. Other areas of practice and skill include securities, contracts, errors and omissions, insurance and casualty disputes. He represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, materials suppliers, and architects and engineers, and serves as counsel to individuals and businesses for trials, appeals, arbitration and mediation.

Recognition

He has been selected by The Best Lawyers in America© in Construction Law since 2006, and named Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in 2012 and 2021 for his Little Rock-based construction law practice. He is also recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers in the areas of alternative dispute resolution and construction litigation.

Community Involvement

In the legal community, Cyril has lectured on construction topics at meetings and seminars sponsored by professional and trade associations. He has served as secretary of the Arkansas Bar Association, as president of the Arkansas Bar Foundation, and as a member of the City of Little Rock Board of Directors. He is a member of the Litigation Section, the ADR Section and the Forum on the Construction Industry of the American Bar Association. He served as Chair of both the Construction Law Section and the Alternative Dispute Resolution sections of the Arkansas Bar Association as well as received the Arkansas Bar’s Continuing Legal Education Award For Outstanding Contributions in 2007.

He is the author of Chapter 1, Overview, of the 2016 Arkansas Construction Law Manual, a project of the Arkansas Bar Association Construction Law Section. As a Mediator, he is certified by the Arkansas ADR Commission; he is a member of the Commercial Panel of Mediators and the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association; and he is a member of the Association of Attorney-Mediators.
