Tax Reform Task Force Selects PFM as Outside Consultant

At its meeting today, the Arkansas Tax Reform Task Force heard from three potential consultants, ultimately selecting PFM as its consultant. Of the three consultants under consideration, PFM demonstrated the most experience in state and local tax policy advisory work, and the Task Force seemed persuaded by their modeling and analytic capabilities. PFM will now begin the work of assessing the Arkansas tax system and starting to meet with stakeholders. Read More

Arkansas Legislators Begin to Focus on Tax Reform

With summer coming to an end, two legislative committees met today on Arkansas tax reform. The Committee on Economic and Tax Policy met in the morning to hear testimony on tax policy, and particularly the Texarkana income tax exemption. The afternoon featured the Tax Reform Tax Force reviewing proposals from potential outside consultants to the Task Force. Read More

Arkansas Tax Reform Task Force Gearing Up
